Pygeum-Africanum Extract: is a dietary supplement is one of a kind used to treat urinary tract infections and diseases. It’s derived from African plum an evergreen tall plant that was historically known to have been used in making tea.
Traditional medicine men in central and southern Africa used its bark to treat bladder and other urinary problems. The supplement is used by men to relieve prostate cancer symptoms, benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).
The extract formula contains European pygeum extract and other synergistic nutrients. Each soft gel contains 110mg of dried extract of pygeum equivalent to135 sterols, 25mg of vitamin B6 giving a daily value of 1250% and 305 zinc citrate giving a 200% daily value if zinc, Selenium, copper, and 12mg of lecithin. The daily dietary value of pygeum is not estimated. Other ingredients include gelatin found in the capsule, pumpkin seed oil, yellow bee’s wax, and Titanium dioxide.
Before one starts taking the supplement they should consult a physician. The recommended dosage is 1-2 pygeum soft gels daily.
