The pycnogenol supplement extract: is derived from the bark of European coastal pine; Pinus maritime. The supplement is rich in proanthocyanidins, a powerful antioxidant. The proanthocyanidins are also free from radical scavengers making the supplement over 50% successful in hunting free radicals than vitamin C and E.
