Deer Antler Velvet:  This velvet like covering of the deer and elks' horns.  Is a super high supply  of collagen,  glycoproteins which have a function of supporting the skeletal system.

In China it is prized as a  medical source for numerous ailments, one of which is an aphrodisiac. Although this is the least studied for it's beneficial medicinal effects.

It contains amino acids, protein, minerals, peptides for inflamation, hormones and Insulin-0Growth Factor-1.
This highly vascular covering of the boney appendage, we call the horns, is nourishing to the deer and elks bones.

The Japanese use the refined antler powder for ear pain which usually occurs with an ear canal infection.  They drop the powder into the canal and burn the powder.  They claim all pain i relieved with this practice.
