Andrographis paniculata, 400mg: This herb was first used as an antibiotic in ancient times.  It is native to India and is from the plant family; Acanthaceae.

For the last thirty years scientists have studied it's properties and their uses for humans. 

There has been found at least twenty eight species of this herb but only a few can be used medicinally. A. paniculata is the most widely used.

Andrographolide  is the main ingredient extracted from the leaves of the plant.  It is mainly water-soluble, and very bitter to taste.

It is beneficial for liver protection by activity of metabolic enzymes.

Studies have been done on the cellular process in treatment in human cancer and immune cells. This happens in the halting of the cycle of the cancer cells. Because of this, it has the potential for becoming a therapeutic agent in fighting cancer.

One study had significant results as a drying effect of the common cold secretions.
