Amla extract:
Natural Amla Extract/dietary supplement
Amla Herb, known as the Paradise herb, is found only in the Himalayan mountains.
It is a fruit extract also known as Indian Gooseberry. This fruit is grown naturally. There are no pesticides. The fruit grows on a deciduous tree that grows up to 18'. The fruit itself is a light green-yellow with a smooth surface and 6 elongated grooves. The taste when ripe is astringent, bitter and sour all at the same time.
This little fruit has one of the highest concentrates of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is produced by most plants and animals within their own body's systems. Some mammals are also capable of producing their own need for Vitamin C by the conversion of glucose. This is carried out within the synthesis of thier cells, while reptiles and some birds carry out this function through their kidneys.
Without the vitamin C, as humans we will suffer from Scurvey.
There are many other sources of Vitamin C, but none as highly concentrated as the Amla fruit extract.
We can obtain vitamin C through many fruits, not just oranges. We find it beneficial for warding off viruses and boosting our immune systems. We all know stress can cause a decline in our immune systems, leaving us vunerable to common colds and flu viruses.
